CF-18 “Century Hornet”

In 2009 a special paint scheme was created for the CF-18 demonstration season, to dovetail in with the Centennial of Flight celebrations which included the restoration of an F-86 Sabre in RCAF “Golden Hawks” colours, and a CT-114 Tutor in Golden Centennaire colours. The hornet was designed to feature the colours of the RCAF, and gold of both classic schemes, but with a modernized wrap around scheme, developed to flow form end to end and in the lateral axis; as the aircraft rolled, the lines flowed and transformed as the view of the aircraft changed plan views.
